All year around, the Murray Rotary club is busy designing and implementing various projects that benefit the Murray Community. They take various forms that involve members in various capacities. Members have gone to schools to distribute dictionaries, they have participated in fun activities - Bass fishing, Golf, Polar plunges etc - to raise funds for the Rotary Foundation for families and children as well as numerous not-for-profit groups involved in the community. Members have also joined together to help victims of natural disasters all across the US and even small countries nearby.

Thursday, May 19, 2016 will mark an unprecedented event for the region. The ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Rotary Club of Murray Performing Arts Pavilion will be highlighted by the attendance of Rotary International President-Elect, John Germ and his wife, Judy. Germ, whose term as President will begin July 1, 2016 is slated to be in Murray for special events on May 18 and 19 hosted by the club.

The Rotary Club of Murray looks forward to the completion of the Amphitheater Project with a scheduled opening day dedication of May 19th. The ambitious project is funded by many community businesses, organizations and individuals and is expected to draw musical and community performances throughout the year. The countdown is on for its completion and finalizes what began as the Rotary Memorial Tree Park to honor deceased Rotarians. The seating area and stage area were constructed during the years 2000 to 2003 and were dedicated in 2004.
